LEMONAID
UC Berkeley, November 2016

This was the final project for UC Berkeley’s “User Interface Design and Development” course in Fall 2016, an introduction to HCI. This semester was focused specifically on IoT; students were instructed to create connected devices (device interface + companion app).

Motivated by previous experiences with the pharmaceutical industry among our friends and families, our group created a connected medicine dispenser that simplifies the many moving parts of the prescription-taking process. Using the JavaScript-based platform KinomaJS, we prototyped the interface for a pill dispenser and companion app to streamline several types of interactions:
- organize medications and remember to take them
- portability and travel
- request refills from pharmacy
